From Boston
Salem is thirty minutes from North Station by train, and our door is a ten-minute walk from the station. You can leave Boston after work, sit at the Count's table at 8, and be back the same night.
The train
The Newburyport/Rockport line runs to Salem all day and, on October weekends, later into the night than usual. From Salem station, walk up Washington Street toward downtown; in about ten minutes you are at Essex Street, and we are on it. If you are coming for the 8 PM performance, a train that arrives in Salem by 7 gives you time to eat first.
Check the schedule for the last train back before you go. On October weekends it runs late, and a 9:30 finish leaves time.
The ferry
The Salem Ferry runs between Boston's Long Wharf and Blaney Street in Salem through the fall. It is the prettiest way in. Check the schedule for evening return sailings before you rely on it for the way home. From Blaney Street the walk to Essex Street is about fifteen minutes along the harbor.
Driving
The Museum Place Garage on New Liberty Street is attached to our building. The MBTA station garage on Bridge Street and the South Harbor Garage are the fallbacks. On October weekends every one of them is full by early afternoon, which is one more reason the 8 PM performances are the easy ones.
Where we are
Cinema Salem is inside Museum Place, the small mall whose doors open straight onto the Essex Street pedestrian mall. When you are standing on Essex Street in October, in the middle of the crowd, you are about a minute from our door.
Walking times are approximate and assume an October crowd. Nothing on this list needs a car.

The Museum Place Garage on New Liberty Street is attached to our building, and the MBTA station garage and the South Harbor Garage are the fallbacks. In October the city recommends the commuter rail from North Station, and so do we.
Come as you are. Plenty of people dress for the occasion, and you would not be out of place in black.
Buy as many seats as you need in one Eventbrite order and tell us the occasion through the question form, so the bar knows before you sit down. For a larger party or a private performance, write to us and we will build a night around you.
