It is not a haunted house. Written and produced by E.A. Clifton and presented by GlitchTV with Cinema Salem, the production sets a speakeasy inside the cinema at Museum Place, whose doors open onto the Essex Street pedestrian mall: small tables, low light, a bar at one end, and a cast of five (Dina Selimovic as Dracula, Madeline Blomdahl as Mina, Alex Carey as Van Helsing, Wesley Crowley as Jonathan Harker, Sean Lynch as Renfield) who carry the story from table to table. Each of the four cocktails, The First Bite, Fresh Blood, The Crypt and Dracula's Kiss, arrives with its chapter. Mocktails are poured on request. Guests must be 21 or older with valid ID.

Salem's October is built for everyone. This is the ninety minutes built for adults: a speakeasy inside the cinema on the pedestrian mall, four cocktails, and a cast working the tables. Ask us about the room, the bar, and why it sits at the center of the season.
The novel is a stack of letters and logs. The production turns the chapters into pours: The First Bite, Fresh Blood, The Crypt, Dracula's Kiss. It is a drinks writer's story as much as a theater story. The bar keeps its recipes, but the names and the order are the map.
Dina Selimovic, a Sarajevo-trained stage and film actor, plays Dracula. Madeline Blomdahl is Mina, Alex Carey (opera and musical theater) is Van Helsing, Wesley Crowley (Gallows Hill) is Harker, and comedian Sean Lynch is Renfield. Interviews can be arranged through the question form.
An independent four-screen cinema on Essex Street that also stages live work. This production is presented with the cinema itself. Ask what a movie theater becomes when the lights come up and the bar opens.

Cast biographies
Dina Selimovic is a Bosnian-American actress with an extensive background in film and theatre. A graduate of the Academy of Performing Arts in Sarajevo, she has performed leading roles on stage and appeared in independent films including Impossible Monsters, Pumpkinhole, Greetings from Sarajevo, Sabina: Prey for the Hunter, and Into the Thicket. She plays the Count.
Madeline Blomdahl is an actress whose work spans film, commercial, and dramatic projects. She starred in the award-winning short film The Most Beautiful, directed by Rachel Irene Wilke, which received festival awards and nominations, and has appeared in the independent films A Marriage and The Well Lived Woman. She plays Mina.
Alex Carey is a Boston-based singer and actor with experience in opera, musical theatre, and dramatic performance. He holds a Master of Music in Voice Performance from Roosevelt University's Chicago College of Performing Arts and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Idaho. His credits include Gaston in Beauty and the Beast, Count Ory in Le Comte Ory, Don Basilio in Le nozze di Figaro, Trekkie Monster in Avenue Q, and Roscoe Dexter in Singin' in the Rain. Dialects, vocal training and stage combat come with him to Van Helsing.
Wesley Crowley is a Boston-area actor and theatre artist with a background in classical and contemporary theatre. His stage credits include Lysander in A Midsummer Night's Dream, and productions of As You Like It, The Anatomy of Shame, Roe, The Ghost Sonata, The School for Lies, and Blood Wedding. He has performed in Salem's Gallows Hill main show and appeared in the independent film The Terminal Degree. He plays Jonathan Harker.
Sean Lynch is a comedian, actor, writer, and director with a career spanning stand-up, television, film, and commercial work. A longtime stand-up performer at clubs throughout New York and Los Angeles, he has appeared in television and commercial projects, with screen credits including The Walking Dead. His writing and directing work has been recognized at independent film festivals. He plays Renfield.
