General admission is $55 and VIP is $70, plus the ticket fee. Every seat includes the four cocktails. Every guest is 21 or older with ID. Compare the three nights.
What happens
You take a seat in a dark room. A glass arrives, and so does a stranger with a story to tell.
It starts with a young solicitor and a castle in the mountains. By the time your first glass is empty, the story has moved to the table next to yours, and the stranger has not left. Four times your glass is refilled, and each pour takes you one chapter closer to the Count. The last glass is his.
This is not a haunted house. Nothing jumps out of a wall. It is a speakeasy, and the story is what is in the room with you.
The Blood Bar pours four drinks over the ninety minutes, one for each chapter of the evening. Each glass arrives with the part of the story it belongs to, and the story does not wait for you to finish it.

The Cast
Five actors carry the story from table to table.
Their work spans stage, film, opera and stand-up, from Sarajevo to Salem. Dina Selimovic plays the Count.
Cinema Salem is inside Museum Place, the small mall whose doors open straight onto the Essex Street pedestrian mall. When you are standing on Essex Street in October, in the middle of the crowd, you are about a minute from our door.

Salem fills up in October, and we are in the middle of it.
The whole city dresses for the month. Downtown closes to cars on the busiest weekends, the garages are full by early afternoon, and the commuter rail from North Station drops you about a ten-minute walk from our door. The 8 PM performances give the afternoon crowd time to clear out before you arrive.
Doors open 30 minutes before each performance. Bring your ID and we will take care of the rest.
